What separates a GMT-Master from a Submariner is not the bezel colour, it is the independent 24-hour hand tracking a second time zone against a graduated ring. Our clones run that complication live — the arrow hand sweeps once per day, and the bezel rotates to offset a third zone if you want one.

The references say the rest. 16710 is the aluminium-insert generation; the Red and Black listing is the Coke bezel from that era. 116710 moved to ceramic, and the DLC-PVD version here follows a coated aftermarket style rather than a factory Rolex option. 116718LN is a yellow gold case on the original; the clone is steel under gold-tone plating with the same black ceramic bezel. Ceramic inserts on the 116-series clones are moulded and engraved, with the numerals filled rather than printed on top. The 24-hour graduation has to line up with the hand at rest; a misaligned insert is the usual giveaway on cheap copies, and we check it before a watch ships. Crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating, and the Cyclops sits over the date at the correct magnification.

Movement is a Swiss-grade clone automatic with around 48 hours of reserve, GMT function included. A Japanese Miyota automatic can be chosen instead on each product page, for $620. The 16710 clones keep the aluminium-style insert of the original rather than substituting ceramic, so the finish reads as the older generation should.
