Reference numbers such as 26320OR.OO.1220OR.01 and 26470ST.OO.A027CA.01 stay on the listings because they identify the design being copied, and because AP codes the case metal into the number: on the original, OR marks pink gold and ST marks steel. What changes between two references

The case and bracelet work is the expensive part of an AP design — the bezel angles, the case chamfers and the bracelet taper are what a build in this family is judged on — and it sets the floor at $1,388. What lifts a listing toward $1,599 is the metal colour, the dial and the stone setting. Not every AP design sits here: the Code 11.59 references are grouped under Mens Watches, because a round case with soldered lugs and a domed crystal is a different build to an integrated-bracelet Royal Oak.
