What the Overseas has to get right

The Overseas lives or dies on two details. First, the Maltese cross bezel: each lobe cut to the same depth, sitting flat against the case top with no gap where the bezel meets the mid-case. A weak clone rounds the lobes off or spaces them unevenly, visible from across a table. Second, the integrated bracelet alignment. The first link has to leave the lug at the same angle on both sides, the taper continuing the case line rather than stepping down from it. We check both before a watch ships.

The 4500V/110A-B126 is the reference most buyers start with. The Overseas Tourbillon 6000V/110A-B544, the Overseas Chronograph at 42.5mm and the Overseas Green Dial cover the rest of the family. The Overseas pieces run the same Swiss-grade clone automatic, around 48 hours of power reserve, cased in 904L steel on the references that use it.

Historiques and Traditionnelle

The Historiques 222 (4200H/222A-B934) is judged on a different axis. It is thin, and thinness is the hardest thing to fake because it is structural rather than cosmetic. The case profile has to stay slim through the caseback and the bezel, not just at the edge. The gold "222" date window surround is the other tell: wrong shade or wrong window proportion and the dial reads modern. Two Historiques references are in stock.
